Volunteer, go on Safari and Climb Mt Kilimanjaro with Team Vista and Tanzanian Safaris

The photos above and below have been taken from Team Vista representatives when they went on Safari in 2010.

Our Team Vista in-country partner - Richard Mosha and his fiance Alisea run a Volunteer, Safari and Kilimanjaro Trekking company. Feel confident and happy knowing that you are in experienced hands with Richard and Alisea and 'Tanzanian Trails.'

Through the Eyes of a Volunteer – The First Week

Saturday Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport, Tanzania and be greeted by your in-country host and volunteer coordinators – Alisea and Richard. Then you will head off to Hotel Haria, which is your accommodation for the duration of your stay. After you have unpacked, maybe a local Kilimanjaro or Safari beer is in order at the roof bar at Haria Hotel. Here you will have a perfect view of Mt. Kilimanjaro .
Sunday Orientation Day: today you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and receive a detailed briefing on your project. You will also be given a tour around town and have an opportunity to take in the beauty of Moshi.
Monday-Friday

Volunteering: You will be taken to your project by one of our in-country coordinators and introduced to the staff and students.

Morning Project: Your first day will be observation and assisting students one-on-one in the classroom. You will be thinking carefully with the assistance of lesson plans on what you may want to teach tomorrow.

Lunch: Either, self-prepared at Hotel Haria in the kitchen, or enjoy the cheap and delicious food offered at many western and local types of restaurants.

Afternoon Project: Depending on your interests - you will have the option of music, sport or craft projects. {Afternoon project is optional, however, highly recommended}

7.30pm: drinks and debrief. Here you can chat about your day and discuss your project with other volunteers and Alisea and Richard.

Friday Night Head out for Zanzibar pizza and a night out at the Glacier Bar with friends.
Saturday Go on safari or visit the nearby waterfall or hot springs.
